The DESIGN.md kit

Every file and prompt from the video, ready to copy into Claude Code. That's the one-page DESIGN.md I used for the Northwind homepage, a blank version for your own business, the line that makes Claude read it, and the screenshot check I run at the end. Shown in Claude Code with Opus 5.5.

New to this?

Claude Code is the part of Claude that builds things for you: you describe what you want in plain English and it writes the files. CLAUDE.md is a file of standing instructions it reads at the start of every session. DESIGN.md is the same idea for how your site should look. You don't need to be a designer to use any of this.

How to use it

  1. Write your DESIGN.md. Fill in the blank template, or let Claude interview you and write it for you.
  2. Save it as DESIGN.md in your project folder, the folder Claude Code is working in.
  3. Add one line to CLAUDE.md so Claude reads it every time.
  4. Ask for your page with the build prompt.
  5. Run the screenshot check so Claude can fix what it got wrong.
