Who it is for
People who want a gentle five-minute habit on their phone.
What it does
- Sessions last five minutes, short enough to fit into a day without taking it over.
- Oru, a paper character, keeps you company through each session.
- Kindlo is an iOS app, and your sessions live on your device.
How we built it
ArcLayer did the product design, the design system and the engineering. AI agents wrote code and tests against Kindlo’s design system, and a person reviewed each change before it merged.
Build note: Shipping iOS apps from Windows with Expo and EAS
How we work on Kindlo
Everything stays on the phone
Sessions are saved as files on the device. The app has no backend.
Two builds on every push
GitHub’s macOS runners make a simulator Debug build and an unsigned Release build for devices on every push.
Screenshots in three modes
Each push also captures simulator screenshots in light mode, dark mode and large text.
TestFlight on request
A TestFlight upload is a manual run that archives, signs and uploads the build through the App Store Connect API.
Demos come from scripted flows
Maestro UI flows record the product demos, so they can be shot again after a change.
A separate website
kindlo.me is an Astro site deployed on Vercel.
