Slipora

Scan a receipt while it is in your hand. Every month lands on one card.

ReceiptsiOS app

Slipora product film, 10 seconds. Names and data on screen are examples.

Who it is for

Household bookkeepers who keep the receipts.

What it does

  • Photograph the slip at the till and it becomes a card to review.
  • Check the card, fix anything marked "Needs a look" and file it.
  • Every month lands on a single ledger card with its total.

How we built it

ArcLayer did the product design, the design system and the engineering. AI agents wrote code and tests against Slipora’s design system, and a person reviewed each change before it merged.

How we work on Slipora

  1. Checks on every pull request

Each pull request runs the type check, 21 test files and an audit of the app’s permissions.

  2. A build on every merge

Every push to master is tested, built for iOS with EAS and submitted to TestFlight.

  3. Scanning happens on the phone

The receipt scanner is a native module: VisionKit and Vision on iOS, ML Kit on Android.

  4. Receipts live on the device

Receipts sit in an on-device SQLite database with full-text search, and sync through iCloud.

  5. Unfinished features stay behind flags

Account sync and accounting exports are built and kept switched off until they are ready.

  6. Agent changes go through review

A Claude Code action opens pull requests when the owner asks, and they pass the same checks as any other change.
